This is a personal project that was inspired by various citrus drink packaging that I've seen both online and in the real world. There is something so elegant about the simple, geometric designs, often printed in fewer than 3 colors, on the packaging of orange juice boxes and bottles. I decided to give it a shot, and Citrus Courtesies is the fictional brand I came up with.
After consuming inspiration from real-life citrus products and images online, I started making thumbnails for the logo. I wanted to keep it simple and traditional to match with some of the more vintage styles. I ended up with a logo that used Cooper Black and Tuppence for the fonts, and put the letter “C” inside of an orange icon that I designed. After developing the logo, I then made variants for 5 different flavors of juice: Orange, Blood Orange, Lime-ade, Lemonade, and Pomegranate. I then created a label for each flavor and created mockups. Finally, I put together a branding guide for any future use of the assets.
